Good, could be better.

The game seems a little boring at first but after beating level one I couldn't stop playing, I just wanted to beat the entire game. The 3D is nice, but the models/graphics and animations could be better. The music is annoying, a level creator would be really fun and possible a story line. This could be something really good. Also, I'm stuck on level 5, I don't think there is a way to beat it... any help?

chrisError responds:

thanks for the nice comment. re level 5 : without giving too much away, see if you can notice any of the hedges that look a little different...maybe some of them are a different colour...let me know if you need any more help :)

big deal...

So, you searched the internet, found a Flash physics engine (or stole it/parts of it) and made a demo for it. I doubt you made a physics engine like this in two days. I saw a leaked demo of the Flash ActionScript physics engine called Fisix that looked very similar to this, so your Flash looks awfully suspicious (I blew my Whistle on this, to alert Newgrounds). To make something like this in two days all by yourself is ridiculous unless to stole huge chunks of code form other people. Also, if you know how to make something like this so quickly & easily, why not take a couple more days to add some more interactivity to it and make it into a real game.

SuperAppendixMan responds:

This code is 100% my own, I'm very experienced in flash, been making games for about 7 years. This is just my alt account, which I'm using cause I don't want this little demo on my main account.

Hell, I'll even explain to you exactly how my code works. There's 10 nodes on the blob, and one in the center. Each node has a spring from itself to the center, it's neighboring node, and the node 2 nodes away on the perimeter. Force is calculated by F= ((distance)-(spring rest length))/rigidity, handled using my own custom 2D Vector class. Nodes are then repositioned based on the force and it's old position (Verlet integration), and the node's positions are updated accordingly in a later for loop.

To make the blob not look like a polygon, instead of using lineto, i used curveTo along the points of the blob, with the midpoints between 2 nodes acting as the anchors and the edge acting as the control point.

I know my stuff man, so don't be saying I stole this.

needs more detail

It's okay, I found some useful stuff in it but there's hardly any explaining, just code that we can copy and then paste into our flash. It's better then some other flash tutorials I've seen on newgrounds though..

Sorry for responding for almost one year :P benn inactive in NG for a long time

Thanks for the review :D

not good...

This 'game' may entertain you if you're extremely bored, but other than that, there is not reason to play it.

not good

This isn't really the place to post your flash tutorials (and most people probably aren't going to be looking here for a "flash game" that has tutorials in it for them) but the tutorials themselves are pretty good, but lacking details. I couldn't copy the text (CRT+A didn't work either) and it's a little hard to read the small text.

robocopisback responds:

Well, I just made it for beginners.

Pretty good

It can get pretty addicting and can keep you occupied if your bored, especially with the high-score section. However, 2 things that i really noticed that need improvement:
1. The UI/menus. They are pretty simple and personally aren't very appealing.
2. When playing, try adding some different obstacles, not just the same old boxes, try adding different pick-ups or something to make it more interesting while playing.
One more thing, it would also be pretty cool if you can change the look/ color of the orb so you can customize it to your liking.

unbelivable responds:

Thank you! Wow your hit the needle on the head im adding ALL of the features you mentioned in the next version thanks alot!
